After installing updated 2.9 version failed to create a debug configuration over ST-Link SWD of an imported project

I have a project that I was able to build and debug with an older version of the AC6 over ST-LINK SWD interface.
I upgrade the IDE to version 2.9 and imported the project, it is built successfully and then I tried to create a debug configuration for it. I’m using ST-LINK for my debugging and the target is connected over SWD interface but from some reason the debug configuration does not show me the SWD option under the Debugger tab - Connection Setup - Interface only JTAG is available there:

Another project on the workspace have no problem with that:

Any idea what could be the problem?

I’m having the exact same problem. If you change the it to “user defined” and set the cfg to sdw manually, then it will work.

Something with STM32Cube 5.2 that doesn’t create the project right. I downgraded to 5.1 and it came back.
