i agree the default Linux install path ought to be in /opt and not /home/username .. same for the install of STM32CubeMX as well ..

to accomplish this, one must presently create /opt/Ac6 and change its ownership to the same as one’s own login uid and gid prior to starting the install process.

with a ‘standard’ install location, then also creating Menu entries and shortcuts is commonly done for a ‘complete’ install experience.
