With this error:

Error in final launch sequence
Failed to execute MI command:
load C:\projects\micropos_proto1\Debug\micropos_proto1.elf

Error message from debugger back end:
Error erasing flash with vFlashErase packet
Error erasing flash with vFlashErase packet

Did the following ...

Debug > Debug Configuration.. > Ac6 STM32 Debugging > 1 Debug > Debagger > Show generator options.. > Reset mode: software system reset.
