What do you mean by "grey underlay" ?
Is it the background color that is grey ?
If yes, it means it is not compiled and so won't be executed.
You have changed something like a #define.
Is the function around "#ifdef SOMETHING" and you changed the preprocessor #define removing or renaming SOMETHING ?
