Zephyr project on STM32

Zephyr Workbench, a VSCode extension to manage Zephyr on STM32.
It enables users to easily create, develop, and debug Zephyr applications.
Main features:
  • Install host dependencies.
  • Import toolchain and SDK.
  • Create, configure, build and manage apps.
  • Debug STM32.
You can directly download it from the VSCode marketplace

System Workbench for STM32

BSSRR register

Getting extremely frustrated with ST’s documentation and documentation organization. Ready to drop this stuff and try another mfg family. I read about atomic bit manipulation of GPIO pins using BSSRR and BRR registers; this in the STM32L4_System_GPIO document. BUT nowhere else is there any information. I would have thought it would be in the programming document. Same for bit banding. I read about in one document and when looking through each data sheet’s “memory mapping” diagrams some have reference to the aliases and some do not. I am only looking at F4 and L4 data sheets having been led to believe all these should have bit banding function. And the sheets that show aliasing only show it for SRAM and not GPIO.

AND now with the STM32L4R5ZI under CubeMX I am activating SD card function and have choice of the usual 1 or 4 bit. But now there are additional options called “auto dir voltage converter” and “dir voltage converter” Okay, I assume this new part can operate at the low 1.7 volt but still interface with SD cards using a voltage converter. .... ????? BUT I SEARCH and search for any information within and outside the ST website and find nothing..... OR MAYBE IT IS about DIRECTION or also being a slave device; now that I see what the extra pins are called.......

HELP!!!!!! Need documentation...

You must be confused, you ended up posting in SystemWorkbench32 forum.
Hardware guy; Thanks for posting. Maybe I am confused but I do know where I posted. I would think somebody in this forum has bit toggled GPIO and/or memory and is familiar with bit banding and/or the registers I mention.  ?? And I think there are ST pro’s involved in this forum. If not, then where do you propose I post? Thank you for your time. Respectfully yours.

Hi,

You can have a look in the GPIO examples in CUBE HAL L4.
I don’t know if they use BSSRR reg but at least there is a GPIO toggle example.
You can import it in SW4STM32.

Also for STM32L4R5ZI SD card, you can have a look in the demo or in the FatFs Application in the cube L4 (Disco or Eval L4R9I).

Rgds,
Laurent
