    Hello,

    the file for macOS has the extension .run is it normal ? if yes how can I install .run on mac.

    I don't understand this project overall, it has been years with no answer to your question. The project itself is very useful, even better then STMs own tools. Anyways...
    An answer for you almost 8 years later, because today I have the same problem...

    in terminal:
    chmod +x you_run_file.run

    sudo ./you_run_file.run -f
