Discovery boards are missing

Hello,

I have installed AC6 and want to use my project with STM32F407G-DISC1 development board.
I clicked: File->New->C Project
I entered project name and chose “AC6 STM32 MCU Project”. Then I clicked “Next” and selected Debug and Release. Then I clicked “Next” and have gone to MCU Selection screen.
The problem starts in here, there wasn’t any discovery board in “Board” list. I have attached the related screen shot.

I have reinstalled AC6 several times but the discovery series are still missing.

How can I fix this problem or what could cause this situation?

info:
- OS: Windows 7 64bit Turkish
- AC6 Version: Mars.2 Release (4.5.2) Build id: 20160218-0600
- Board: STM32F407G-DISC1

Hello Ahmed,

Is issue related only to disco filter ? ... or whatever filter selection you’re not able to see any board target promoted ?

Yes is only related to discovery boards.
I have attached a new screenshot of all boards list.
There isn’t any discovery board.

Hi Ahmed,

Such is quite weird.
1) Are you able to get some disco board looking at STM32F7 serie for example ?
2) If not could you check if some disco material is available within following IDE file (take care to update Ac6SystemWorkbenchInstallPath and latestTag string in sync. with your local setup) : Ac6SystemWorkbenchInstallPath\plugins\fr.ac6.mcu.ide_latestTag\resources\board_def\stm32targets.xml

Hi Cartu38,

1) I have checked all series (F0...F7) of discovery boards, but coudn’t get any discovery board.
2) I have checked F:\Ac6\SystemWorkbench\plugins\fr.ac6.mcu.ide_1.14.0.201703061527\resources\board_def\stm32targets.xml file there are all types of discovery boards. Also I have found my board model in the xml file.

Eventually board definition datas are not missing, but the AC6 application doesn’t show the disco series. confused

Thank you for your support.
I have installed the new IDE, it was solved.

It is very interesting situation for old version that there are board definitions in the xml file but you can’t see in the wizard.

I have a similar problem. I want to create a new project in the latest version of Ac6 (v2.0) but STM32F407G-DISC1 development board is missing. I tried with the 64bits and 32bits versions but the problem persists.

The same happens with STM32CubeMX v4.21 where STM32F407G-DISC1 is missing and STM32F4DISCOVERY is duplicated.

I once solved this by selecting the STM32F4DISCOVERY board and changing the debug configurations manually, but that option does not appear now.

Any idea what could be causing this problem?

I have attached a screenshot of all this situations.

Info: Windows 10 Enterprise 64bits Anniversary Update (1607) Español España
Ac6 v2.0
STM32CubeMX v4.21

Hi Ahmed,

The board STM32F407G-DISC1 is obsolete and was renammed STM32F4DISCOVERY.
Try to use STM32F4DISCOVERY instead of without change your debug configuration.
