"ARM compiler for MCU" ver. 1.13.2 Error in System Workbench

Hi,

I am using Windows 10, “AC6 C/C++ Embedded Development Tools for MCU” ver. 1.14.0, Sensortile board with Nucleo-F401RE as the programmer/debugger.

Recently I upgrade the “ARM compiler for MCU” in System Workbench to 1.13.2 after which I am getting the following error as displayed in the console :

/usr/make/sh: arm-none-eabi-gcc: command not found
make: *** DataLog/User/main.o Error 127

The build is successful in version 1.13.1, however.

How can I resolve this error ?

Hello RADS_STM32,

Looks like something goes wrong during the ARM GNU Toolchain installation, try to reinstall it by doing the following steps:

  1. stop Systemworkbench
  2. remove \plugins\fr.ac6.mcu.externaltools.arm-none.win32_1.13.2.201703061525\tools\compiler
  3. start Systemworkbench

Also make sure that you’ve upgraded the whole application, and not only the “ARM compiler for MCU”
1.14 Features List
Grayed item means that feature is already installed.

Hello jLn_38,

Thanks for your reply.

After updating to the following versions, its working without any error :

External Tools 1.13.0.201703061529
OpenSTM32 Remote debugging support 1.12.1.201703061529

The software update is complicated in the way it shows the installed and updated components necessary for development based on STM32 platform.

Are the following components necessary for development based on STM32 platform(see snapshot for details) :

Subversive SVN Connectors
Subversive SVN Team Provider
SVNKit 1.8.12 Implementation (Optional)

Best Regards.

Agreed, in the future try to use the “Help > Check for Updates” feature, it may better fit with your need by reporting only available updates.

These components are not required for development based on STM32 platform, they are third-party utils that users often ask for.

AFAIK, if you feel allergic to them smile, they are easily removable through this panel (Help > Installation Details) :
Uninstal

Best regards

Hi,
I have similar problem. At compiling I’m getting error:
/usr/make/sh: arm-none-eabi-as: command not found
make: *** startup/startup_stm32f030x6.o Error 127

I had new fresh installation of Eclipse + SW4STM32 plugin on Windows 7. Then I had remove it and install again, as said jLn_38. I have plugin version this same as RADS_STM32. There is no newer. When I’m trying to clear project, I’m getting error:
/usr/make/sh: rm: command not found
make: clean Error 127 (ignored)

Why there are Linux’s paths, instead of Windows? In project properties are right paths to the compiler.
