System Workbench for STM32

gitignore

I am just getting started with the System Workbench for STM32 IDE and I was going to create a git repository and I was just wondering if there were any suggestions for what I should add to the gitignore file.

There was nothing available on https://gitignore.ioQuestion so I was going to just use the default Eclipse but I thought I would add on here first.

Update:

Below is the text for the default Eclipse gitignore file.

I don’t really understand your question.

I do use eclipse, I do use System Workbench for STM32, I do use Git.
But I have no idea what you are talking about.

Thanks for your reply, I should have been more specific.

In other applictions I use the gitignore file to ignore files that do not need to be tracked by source controller. I have placed a link to the git documentation outlining it below.

https://git-scm.com/docs/gitignoreQuestion

For example below are some of the things I usually ignore.

- Build artifacts
- Elements that are specific to my machine (paths etc)
- Configuration files that contain sensitive information that I do not want on the source control server.

Hopefully that helps a bit.

Thank you for the gitignore file. Seems to work fine for me ...
