SW4STM32 and SW4Linux fully supports the STM32MP1 asymmetric multicore Cortex/A7+M4 MPUs

With System Workbench for Linux, Embedded Linux on the STM32MP1 family of MPUs from ST was never as simple to build and maintain, even for newcomers in the Linux world. And, if you install System Workbench for Linux in System Workbench for STM32 you can seamlessly develop and debug asymmetric applications running partly on Linux, partly on the Cortex-M4.
You can get more information from the ac6-tools website and download (registration required) various documents highlighting:

Eclipse "Restart" button does not work

It would very usefull that Restart button works. Right now I have to press “Terminate and relunch” and it is a very slow process and too much flashing the chip... Is there a way to make ir work?

Thank!

Tunisia

Hello Leonardo ,

The Restart button is on Ac6 todo list (linkQuestion)

As a workarround you can do the following :
Step1: press “Suspend”: button to pause my program.
Step2: Go to “Console Window”, type “monitor reset halt”.
Step3: Press “F5” (Single step ).
And your program counter is in the first instruction of your reset handler (typically in your startup.s)

If you dont want that instead of step3 set a breakpoint on your main or elsewhere and resume the code execution to that breakpoint.
