How to import AC6 project into AC6?

I am attempting to import an AC6 project sent to me by another developer into AC6. When I simply open it, there are absolute paths pointing to the other developer’s local drive. I have searched online and have concluded it needs to be imported, but cannot find any documentation describing which import options to use when importing AC6 into AC6. I have tried a number of import options, but none seem to work. How exactly does one import an existing AC6 project into AC6?

Hi,

Importing project can be a bit tricky for non-experienced Eclipse user. You have to go in File > Import... > General > Existing Projects into Workspace, then select the project root directory. It displays you the projects found into the directory, you have to select your project. Check the “Copy projects into workspace” if you want to copy the sources files into the workspace otherwise it will set links to the sources.

If in the newly imported project still contains the other developer local paths, it means he/she did not populate the project or put the settings with relative paths. Eclipse can’t automatically evaluate it these files/options should or not be local...
