SW4STM32 and SW4Linux fully supports the STM32MP1 asymmetric multicore Cortex/A7+M4 MPUs

With System Workbench for Linux, Embedded Linux on the STM32MP1 family of MPUs from ST was never as simple to build and maintain, even for newcomers in the Linux world. And, if you install System Workbench for Linux in System Workbench for STM32 you can seamlessly develop and debug asymmetric applications running partly on Linux, partly on the Cortex-M4.
You can get more information from the ac6-tools website and download (registration required) various documents highlighting:

Target Tab broken

I just re-installed SW4STM32 and created a new project.

But when I navigate to Project Properties -> C/C++ Build -> Settings -> Target, I only see “Current board target is invalid !”, and a “Define board target” button, which does nothing.

How can I fix this? This didn’t happen in my previous installation.

Actually, the same happens when I create a new project and press on the “Create new custom board” or “Download firmware” buttons.

The FAQ mentions that for Ubuntu, I need to set --launcher.GTK_version 2, but that had already been set in the installation.

Please note that SW4STM32 is currently unusable for me, and other options are not available to me.

Duh, never mind. The second approach actually works, but the popup windows were placed so badly on my screen that I couldn’t see them. rolleyes

I have the same problem (target tab broken) on existing project, after closing and opening the project in Project Explorer. The target tab displays only a button “Define board target” and nothing happens when pressed, see attached image. I am on W7 32bits installation.
Can this be repaired somehow or I have to create a new project from scratch and add the files in  ?
thank you

Hello,

Could you share on which SW4STM32 release basis you have requested update to latest release ?
Could you share your host configuration details (OS, 32/64b, ...) ?
Could you share target you’ve selected (mcu, board, custom board based on which device) ?

Thanks.
