Environment:
Ubuntu 18.04
System Workbench for STM32 v2.4
STM32F072B-DISCOVERY board, firmware just updated

Goal: Run the GPIO_IOToggle example from
STM32CubeF0
in an STM32F072B-DISCOVERY board.

Problem:
After successful compile and download to board, debug leads to a timeout error in the file stm32f0xx_hal_rcc.c in the code shown here.

/* Get Start Tick */
tickstart = HAL_GetTick();

/* Wait till HSE is ready */
while(__HAL_RCC_GET_FLAG(RCC_FLAG_HSERDY) == RESET)
{
if(( HAL_GetTick() - tickstart ) > HSE_TIMEOUT_VALUE)

}
}
