Discovery Board Hangs On Interrupt Handling

Currently for the first time I am learning STM 32 programing using my STM32 F4 Discovery Board

Written below is a program for blinking an led Indefinitely and brinking another LED 5 times on active Interrupt and then first LED continues blinking.

The program builds, debugs and burn without issue but when i press the external interrupt switch the board hangs instead of blinking LED.

This problem does not happen when I burn the code from Atollic Truestudio.

Any Help would be appreciated.

Is this forum even maintained? I find a lot of unanswered threads

Most probably something wrong with the systemclock setting. Where do you initialize it?
There is a “k” variable hinting to 168 MHz but at a glance I can’t see it being used.
Have you looked at e.g. Tiljens website? https://stm32f4-discovery.net/2015/01/properly-set-clock-speed-stm32f4xx-devices/Question

As a sidenote: this website is not about programming really, it’s about the infrastructure for the compiler/linker.
Good Luck.
