debugger won't start : again !
I have a successful project built and debugging with eclipse but every few weeks something goes wrong and I’m back to a whole loop of debugging my development environment before I can debug my project.
ARG. yet again around the same loop.
Today I have been able to compile and flash to the target system and “run” and all goes as expected ( including some probs that I need to debug ).
However, when I try to lauch with the debugger, it fails to start. All I can get from “details” is “invalid context”. A stupidly unspecific, ambiguous and unhelpfully and vague “detail”.
This dev environment used to work but once again, it just falls over with no sufficient information to attack the problem.
To be sure I update the system, get oxygen.2 eclipse, re-installl , yet again the AC6 stuff and can once again compile and flash the target. Once again, if I try to enter debug mode, it barfs the hopeless “invalid context”.
Now I’m sure that I’m not the only one hitting this and google shows various irrelevant threads going back years throwing this hopelessly unhelpful error message.
What “context” , what the heck is this actually talking about? That is supposed to be the detailed message? Really?
Could some kind sole shorten the amount of time I have to waste getting this IDE into a usable state ONCE AGAIN?
Thanks in advance for any help.
