System Workbench for STM32

Openworkbench Error 2

Hi

I was wondering if somebody has any idea what is going on when I try to compile and get this error code:

08:26:26 **** Build of configuration Debug for project AC_Meter ****
make all
Building file: ../startup/startup_stm32f070x6.s
Invoking: MCU GCC Assembler
d:/stm32/plugins/fr.ac6.mcu.externaltools.arm-none.win32_1.15.0.201708311556/tools/make/sh: syntax error: unexpected “(”
startup/subdir.mk:15: recipe for target ‘startup/startup_stm32f070x6.o’ failed
make: *** startup/startup_stm32f070x6.o Error 2

08:26:26 Build Finished (took 343ms)

I have updated both cubeMx as well as openworkbench... Im running the latest win 10 os.
Thank you so much
Andreas

I have now reset the OS (windows 10) and redownlowded and installed everything from scratch.
Result:

It still doesnt work on 2 machines
It runs like a charm on 2 other machines...

I still get:

16:17:04 **** Incremental Build of configuration Debug for project AC_Meter ****
make all
Building file: ../startup/startup_stm32f070x6.s
Invoking: MCU GCC Assembler
c:/ac6/systemworkbench/plugins/fr.ac6.mcu.externaltools.arm-none.win32_1.15.0.201708311556/tools/make/sh: syntax error: unexpected “(”
startup/subdir.mk:15: recipe for target ‘startup/startup_stm32f070x6.o’ failed
make: *** startup/startup_stm32f070x6.o Error 2

16:17:05 Build Finished (took 263ms)

I now tried to reinstall openworkbench via an eclipse extension instead of the standalone installer and now it works again.
Somewhat strange but maybe this might help somebody out too.

Ok one other finding:

Aparently, with older versions of the Ac6, the space character in the “\Dropbox (name)” folder is not a problem.
However, new versions do not work when linking a project from eclipse to that dropbox folder if this folder has a space character.

Copying works, but I prefer to have them in a folder so I can just drop them back into Dropbox to sync.
