System Workbench for STM32

I'm missing something Program g++

United States

I downloaded as instructed and installed ac6, everything worked without errors but following the instruction to build Hello World I get stopped with 2 Errors: Program g++ and gcc not found in path....
I thought ac6 came with the compiler? If it didn’t should someone have a paragraph on installing the tool chain?
Thanks

United States

Got pass the missing compiler stuff but finally gave up, I could create a new Hello World project and then it would set there with a blank screen. I could find no means to open the project, the Open Project was grayed out.
No help, google fu failed to find anything about running a6 so I uninstalled it. I’ll be talking with STM in the AM. Not much has changed it 7 years.

System Workbench exists since 3 years ....

Hello AirHeadBit,

You might facing a trouble with the toolchain installation, check if the folder INSTALL_LOCATION/plugins/fr.ac6.mcu.externaltools.arm-none.platform_arch.xxx/tools/compiler exists.
And if it contains the ARM gcc & gdb binaries in bin/ subfolder.

If not, remove the compiler folder and restart the workbench.

Regards,

Normally, once created, the project should appear into the Project Explorer view.

Could you give more details on your use-case and problem?
A screenshot would also help to understand, plus the application log file (WORKSPACE/.metadata/.log)
