Custom board management - how to reuse
Scenario:
I create project A. I create a custom board called “MyBoard”. Everything works.
I create project B. I get to the point where I am to select a board. “MyBoard” does not show up in the list of custom boards. (board definition seems to be local). I try to create a new custom board local to the project, also with the name “MyBoard”. I can’t because “MyBoard already exists”.
What gives? “MyBoard” doesn’t show up in the list of boards when I create project B, yet I can’t create a new board with the same name.
How do I share a custom board, and how do I control the scope of the sharing?
Why is it that I can’t create two custom boards with the same name, as long as the board definition is local and not shared?
It would help to know how this all works under the covers.
