    We will see if the patch mentioned above works, but this is the way I have been making this work,

    Change (example for Eclipse and STSW4STM32) in Tool Settings - MCU GCC Compiler - Symbols,

    from
    weak=attribute__weak
    packed=attributepacked__
    to
    'weak=attribute__weak'
    'packed=attributepacked__'
