I tried downloading it via the terminal using curl and this time it worked. Go figure.

This helped me, thanks

When downloading with Firefox and issuing “open installer_sw4stm32_macos_64bits.app”, a long lasting verification is done by OS X and then a message appears telling that the application is corrupted and should be moved to trash.

When downloading with wget, “open ...” doesn’t trigger the verification and installer simply runs.

So success, however someone should resolve why the verification fails

Had the same problem. I read somewhere to allow apps downloaded from anywhere in OSX settings. It worked for me.

I just used this method with an app I downloaded via Google Chrome and it worked for me as well.

Yes but my situation was different. OSX just straight up thought the file was corrupt and suggested that I trash the file.
