SW4STM32 and SW4Linux fully supports the STM32MP1 asymmetric multicore Cortex/A7+M4 MPUs

With System Workbench for Linux, Embedded Linux on the STM32MP1 family of MPUs from ST was never as simple to build and maintain, even for newcomers in the Linux world. And, if you install System Workbench for Linux in System Workbench for STM32 you can seamlessly develop and debug asymmetric applications running partly on Linux, partly on the Cortex-M4.
You can get more information from the ac6-tools website and download (registration required) various documents highlighting:

Urban Acoustic Monitoring with IMP34DT05 digital mems microphone

Hi,

we are developing a multisensor board for monitoring some parameters like sound into an urban environment.

We tried to use the IMP34DT05 digital mems microphone in order to acquire sound but we need help.

In the attached file you can see a waveform we recorded near a busy road.

We plotted them using the Python SDK (hsdatalog_plot.py) of the STM32CubeFunctionPack_DATALOG1_V1.1.0 .

What is the unit of the waveform amplitude? (Maybe uPa?)

How can we convert them into dB(SPL)?

We also used hsdatalog_to_wav.py in order to listen to the recorded sound and we heard a loud background noise due to the wind.

How can we filter that?

Might you suggest us any recommentations for using better the microphone? (For example putting a wind screen or something else).

Kind regards,
