STM32L053R8 + MicroSD + FATFS on SW4STM32

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum. Please help me out if I made some stupid mistakes.

I am doing a project which requires to write music file systems into microSD card. We are using STM32L053R8 development board (nucleo). Right now, I am able to initialize the SD card only. (Not sure whether this is useful as we need to deal with File System.)

As far as i know now, this requires FAT file system. However, I used CubeMX (version 5.2.1) to generate some code over SPI, FATFS, GPIO, but the code doesn’t compile on SW4STM32. (SW4STM32 is selected as the tool chain) It reports these following error:

  • d:/stmicroelectronics/ac6/sw4stm32/plugins/fr.ac6.mcu.externaltools.arm-none.win32_1.17.0.201812190825/tools/compiler/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/7.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld.exe: MicroSD_FATFS.elf section `.bss’ will not fit in region `RAM’

  • d:/stmicroelectronics/ac6/sw4stm32/plugins/fr.ac6.mcu.externaltools.arm-none.win32_1.17.0.201812190825/tools/compiler/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/7.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld.exe: region `RAM’ overflowed by 1808 bytes

This is so confusing and I wish someone can help! Thanks in advanced!
