Eclipse can't find java after installation

Hello all ,

i’m running trying to install OpenSTM32 on my mac running Mac Os Catalina 10.5.2
i downloaded the latest OpenSTM31 installer for mac (v2.9 64 bits) and installed without problems.
The .app bundle is located in applications/Ac6/SystemWorkBench.app which seems fine.
When i try to open the program i get an error message saying.
“A Java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development Kit (JDK) must be available in order to run Eclipse.
No Java virtual machine
was found after searching the following locations:
jre/Contents/Home/lib/jli/libjli.dylib”

So i downloaded and installed the following JRE “jre-8u241-macosx-x64”, but it didn’t solve the problem
I also downloaded and installed the latest JDK, and it doesn’t solve it.

I guess jre didn’t install itself in the path OpemSTM32 is looking for, but I have no idea where this jre/Contents... folder is supposed to be or how i’m supposed to fix that.

Any idea?

I am also having this problem. I am on a new install of macOS Monterey in 2022. I have tried the java JDK and JRE, as well as installing through homebrew. Anyone know of a fix?
