A Full Build is Initiated Every Time I Click Run or Debug

Hey Guys,

I’m using the ARM mbed RTOS. Everything is working well, apart from the fact that every time I click the debug icon, a long operation of “Launching : Build before launch - Generating makefile for source folder Debug/mbed-os/... ” occurs. I think the entire project is getting built every time I attempt to debug, even if I’ve not changed anything.

Anyone know why? And how to build only files that have changed between debug sessions?

Hi,

A tweak to avoid rebuild when launching a Run or Debug configuration is to disable the “auto-build”. Go to “Run” > “Debug configuration”, select your configuration then check the “Disable auto build” box in the main tab.

In this case, if you do any change, you must manually build before debugging the project.
