Yes, some features are no more provided by Eclipse Neon, while they were available in Mars; this mean we must change a bit our plugins to avoid the need for these. We’ve already looked at what it means but the correction will take some time before the correction is done, validated and pushed to the update site.

The next update of the plugins will probably avoid this problem, but other incompatibilities may exist with Eclipse Neon and clearing all issues may take some time.

Sorry for the delay but Neon is only out since a week ago...

Bernard (Ac6)

Thank you, looking forward to seeing the next update as soon as possible. biggrin
What about neon support for openSTM32 now? Possible to develop SW with neon for STM32 µC series?

Yes, i confirm also from my side. I’m facing the same problem. Let’s wait for the new release.

Bernard, when released the new plugins release can you send an email to us having this problem ?

regards

guido

Bernard
Excuse me, can you update this month?

France

This will be corrected in the next release of System Workbench for STM32 (1.10) that should be available really soon now; we are in the final validation phase for the release.

Hi Bernard, nice to ear this.

Hi Bernard, but you will release a new setup file with NEON included, or i need to download NEON fron Eclipse web and then install the plugins ?

regards

On Fedora 24, 64 bits.

the error isn’t raised with Neon of eclipse.

However, should i wait next version of plugin even if it isn’t raised?

Hi Bernard,

any news about the new plugins release ?

regards

guido

Hi Guido,

This is corrected, but Neon is not yet the default release (it would be the next time we release the installer). For now you must install Eclipse manually then add System Workbench for STM32 plugins.

Best regards,

Bernard

hi,
just to give my own feedback of today work.

I needed a clean stm32 dev env, so I installed everything from scratch today on a fresh debian distro ( stretch amd64).

eclipse neon : OK
stm32cubeL0 package : OK
system workbench : OK

i successfully generated an simple C++ project. not yet flashed to nucleo board.
i can now play with the nucleo demo board and all cube demo projects !
great work guys ! nice to see ac6 has become a major ST partner.
