SW4STM32 and SW4Linux fully supports the STM32MP1 asymmetric multicore Cortex/A7+M4 MPUs

With System Workbench for Linux, Embedded Linux on the STM32MP1 family of MPUs from ST was never as simple to build and maintain, even for newcomers in the Linux world. And, if you install System Workbench for Linux in System Workbench for STM32 you can seamlessly develop and debug asymmetric applications running partly on Linux, partly on the Cortex-M4.
You can get more information from the ac6-tools website and download (registration required) various documents highlighting:

Using templates to add files to a project in the Virtual File System

I need to use new file templates to create and add new files to a project in a virtual file system. When I go to:

File => New => Header File

make the entries into the Source folder and Header file fields, and click on Finish, I get the error:

Creation of element failed.
Reason:
Only virtual folders and links can be created under a virtual folder.

I know I can add an existing file by going to:

File => New => File from Template

clicking on the “Advanced” button, checking the “Link to file in the file system” box and entering the pasth and filename of the existing file. But I cannot find a way to get CDT to use a template to create a file in the file System to add to the Virtual File System. I have to create a file in a word processor to add this way, and that does not take advantage of the conveniences the templates are supposed to offer.

How are templates to be used to create new files for a project in the Virtual File System?
